The Mahanaim Difference
In this day and age, there is a great need for English as a Second Language education, and there are an abundant number of programs available to ESL students. Some of them offer decent curriculum at affordable prices, but what sets Mahanaim Supplemental ESL apart from the rest is the personal attention and care we give to each and every student. We don't view our students as "customers" that simply need to be "satisfied with our service." At Mahanaim we encourage students to think about the future and set long-term goals for themselves. Studying just for the sake of studying usually isn't very appealing, but diligently working toward a desired goal makes students realize how important success in school is, and gives them the motivation they need to reach their full potential. Our teachers also counsel students when they experience difficulty in school, or difficulty adjusting to life in a new country. We act as teachers, counselors, motivators, and friends. We help students gain the confidence they need to get where they want to go in life. Scoring high marks in English is not the goal of our program (althought it is a side-product). Rather, the English skills that students gain through Supplemental ESL will be the means to a much greater end...a hopeful, happy, successful future in whatever they wish to pursue.
