This evening there was a concert, and the first of its kind in Huntington. "I just love your concerts," exclaimed one gentleman, as he eagerly found a seat in the front – center of the auditorium. People from all parts of town gathered one by one to the newly renovated Mahanaim Auditorium.
On Thursday night, the students attended a concert at the Carnegie Hall, Swedish National Youth Orchestra featuring violinist, Hugo Ticciati and marimbist, Johan Bridger. We were surprised when during the performance, Ticciati explained the music what he will play so the audience can better understand the piece.
American Food! May I take your order? The students each had their first experience ordering American food. What they learned at school, they were able to use it practically. And the students also were able to enjoy the unique taste of Applebees.
Stop! Drop! and Roll! Learning about fire safety is very important, but it is also very interesting to hear from the firemen about their daily schedule and the different functions of each Fire truck. The students were leaving remarks about the job to firemen, saying that it’s very “precious and valuable job.”
